SUMMER ROUND-UP

With Labor Day signaling the unofficial end of Summer, here are some of Belvedere’s greatest sunshine soaked hits!

Brooklyn Backyard BBQs

Lounging on Daybeds

Bloody Mary Trollies

Secret Garden Party

New Orleans Pool Parties

Belvedere Lemon Tea Punch

Tales of the Cocktail

But just because Summer’s over, doesn’t mean the Belvedere good times have to end. With the holiday season right around the corner, look for more great parties and people occupying this space. And always remember…

Well, Belvedere sure doesn’t!

MUSTARD & COSTUMES & JENGA, OH MY!

After our rather civilized day at the distillery where everyone created their own Belvedere Bloody Mary blend, things got wild, really really wild. I mean, just look at this motley crew!

First there was mustard…

Then there were costumes…

Next there was some pretty impressive acting…

And just when we thought things couldn’t get any crazier, there was the most hectic game of Jenga Turenne has ever seen!

It was a special day and a magical night in the sleepy (VERY SLEEPY) town of Turenne. For some, like Claire, a Jenga virgin, I can only imagine what the night must have been like; sitting there, as we built the tower higher and higher only to watch it fall in the end. For others, like G, a veteran of the game with a strange but confident approach, it was all about perfecting his, “just flick it,” technique. But what sort of tournament would it have been without a tragedy or six. It just wasn’t in the blocks for poor Charlie on that fateful eve as he watched the tower fall time and time again at his touch. Better luck next time mate!

And so, as that great Serbian proverb once said, “You never get a headache from winning.” Remember to Jenga responsibly ;)

Here in the storybook village of Turenne in Central Western France, 12 lucky bartenders from all over the UK have joined us for a few days full of sunshine, foie gras, and Belvedere of course! The trip includes a visit to our beautiful maceration distillery where everyone gets a chance to blend their own Belvedere using a selection of distillates from our catalogue of favors. Looking good Claire, Danny, Amelia, Gareth, and especially you Nate! Blend on.

This week has been one of the busiest (and rainiest!) in the UK. Monday we held an internal Belvedere immersion at our offices in London, and Tuesday and Wednesday were dedicated to Imbibe LIVE where bartenders were able to taste new products, such as Belvedere Bloody Mary, and new cocktails like the Unfiltered Carbonated Martini. Thursday was was the brand discovery where we turned the office into a night club, bouncer and all, and Friday was Taste of Edinburgh which was kind of a wash out… Will this rain ever stop?? Now that the weekend is here I’m looking forward to the Wimbeldon final and a good Sunday roast. Phew!

Yesterday was another amazing day on the sunny, (and windy!) island of Mykonos, filled with delicious food and refreshing cocktails. We spent the afternoon at Kalua on Paraga beach enjoying Belvedere Thyme Gimlets while the party was going off all around us. Thanks to Sebastian, the owner, Chelsea, his lovely girlfriend, and the whole team for taking such good care of us. I definitely know where I’ll be heading next time I’m in Greece.

Here on the amazingly beautiful, and ever so sunny island of Mykonos, it’s hard to believe that this is what I am lucky enough to call work! The Greek people are amongst the friendliest I’ve encountered on my travels, and the laid back lifestyle makes this country a joy to visit, time and time again.

Yesterday, I spent the afternoon in the sun (covered in sunscreen of course!) leading an interactive Belvedere cocktail workshop with a very special group of bartenders from across the island. All of the drinks included local Greek herbs such as thyme, rosemary, and louisa, as well as exceptionally fresh fruit and every variety of honey you can imagine. In the end, 3 groups excelled with drinks that I could have enjoyed all day, responsibly of course, by the beach. Thanks to Melina and the rest of the Greek team for an amazing afternoon and to Spyros for being a rock star in general. Also a big shout out to Angelos from Thessaloniki for…well, just because ;)

After a great day/night in Rotterdam, I headed over to Amsterdam for yet another great session with some very talented local bartenders. We challenged them to break into small groups and create an original Belvedere cocktail using anything they wanted plus the mystery ingredient of our choosing. Each group had something different, but in the end, the licorice (yum!) group won us over with their delicious concoction of Belvedere Pink Grapefruit, licorice, watermelon juice, and a bit of citrus. Shout outs to Michael and Gilda, from Nomads, for helping their team clinch victory, and to Pieter, from Shake and Serve, who drove all the way from Maastricht.

Dank u wel!

I’m finally back on the European continent and after a week of nonstop rain in London, the sun has finally come out…in Rotterdam! I fear the Brits may still be suffering from torrential downpours. Sorry guys :(

Check out some bartenders blending their own Belvedere Pink Grapefruit at our interactive workshop here in the Netherlands as part of Rotterdam Bar Week’s Bar Academy Series. These guys will tell you that it’s not as easy as it looks. Good thing we have ICS running the show! Well done everyone.

Isn’t this a lovely view of Ho Chi Minh City at dusk? I’ve just arrived to Vietnam today and am looking forward to seeing what this amazingly colorful country has to offer. But before I do, I may just have to unwind with a delicious Belvedere cocktail…
